Today
Two hearts
Beating as one
In cadence
As they stand together
Whispering promises
Vowing futures toward one
another.
Gold
Beneath their feet
Shining down upon them
Silver adorning their
hands
Glowing symbols
Of love and life eternal
Remembrances of strength
without end.
Battles
Won and lost
Scars visible and unseen
Makes them who they are
Yet their love heals deep
wounds
Covers weaknesses
And will always bring them home. |
