A life filled with emptiness Hope and joy ever elusive No sweet songs of love for my heart Only darkness and storms at each turn.   I finally listened when you called Looking up I saw the love in your eyes There in your open arms waiting for me An everlasting safe harbour.   I tried to turn away Because of my unworthiness You whispered into my spirit A song of love everlasting.     I hope you enjoyed this poem.
